GIFTS FOR EVERYONE
As the New Year approaches, take a few moments and think about the gifts you have been given by God. How valuable are they to you? Throughout the year, we spend so much time admiring what others have, and what other people are able to do, that we neglect that we ourselves are truly gifted individuals. The best gift you will ever receive in your life has already been given to you. But here’s the question: Are you holding up your end of the bargain?
Your greatest responsibility of receiving a gift is to use it. In this New Year, using our gifts (giving it away) is the best thing we can do. Our gifts are ours, but they don’t do anyone any good unless we are willing to share them (and therefore, ourselves) with others. Your gifts are the biggest difference between you and the next person.
IT’S MORE THAN ENOUGH
You were given the gift you have because you are the only person God saw fit to bestow with it. That in itself makes you unique. However, we decide that what we have is not good enough and refuse to explore or act on our gifts. Some people have a lot and some people have little…but that doesn’t stop the magnitude of the impact that you can and will make if you embrace what you have to make your world better.
PURPOSE IS CRITICAL
Before I end this Post, let’s talk briefly about Purpose. Purpose is crucial to living a meaningful life. Using your gifts without your purpose allows you to reap some benefits out of life. However, you will only obtain fulfillment when you use your gifts according to your purpose. Two key things to focus on this New Year is:
- What is my purpose?
- What are my gifts that allow me to fulfill my purpose?
2015 will bring great opportunities and challenges. Let’s stay focused on finding our purpose and using our gifts to make this new year, a truly Happy New Year!
Remember, if you don’t want your gift to be useless, then you have to make your gift useful.
